Job Description

Thirsty Lion Gastropub and Grill is looking for talented Hosts and Hostesses for our new restaurant in Euless, Texas. Must be friendly and outgoing to welcome Guests and run the seating for a polished casual, fast paced, high volume restaurant.

Thirsty Lion Gastropub and Grill combines warm and inviting environment with an eclectic menu featuring a variety of multi cultural cuisines and from-scratch cooking with a commitment to local, seasonal ingredients and bold flavors. At the bar, a wide range of local craft beers are available and cocktails are crafted with fresh fruit purees, juices, and premium liquors, while wines come in 25 varieties. Enjoy a craft brew and meal while watching the game on one of the flat screens amidst an open kitchen, central bar and a patio that soaks up the sun.

Thirsty Lion’s mission is to evolve the gastropub business by creating a place where friends and family can come together, celebrate life and enjoy hand-crafted food, beer and cocktails.

Thirsty Lion was established in Portland Oregon and currently has 9 locations in Oregon, Arizona, Colorado and Texas with plans to continue growth in Texas and nationwide.

Requirements

Requirements of the job:

  • Make every customer feel wanted by taking an “individual” and “customer first” approach in all dealings with them.
  • Treats every customer as a welcome guest in the establishment. 
  • Must have a working knowledge of Company products and specifications.
  • Knows and uses service and merchandising techniques provided.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of neat and clean menus.
  • Answers the phone and takes messages and reservations in accordance with Company Standards.
  • Maintains awareness of open and closed stations on the floor.
  • Communicates with the Manager on Duty to facilitate proper staffing levels.
  • Communicates with the Kitchen on current and expected guest volume.
  • Performs assigned side work and housekeeping duties.
  • Follows State Liquor Service laws and Company guidelines in the service of any alcoholic beverages and enforcement of ordinances and laws.
  • Follows Company and OSHA guidelines to provide a safe working environment.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by Store Management.
  • Being knowledgeable and informing our quests of the Company’s concepts, products, services, current promotions, and recurring events.
  • The positive and unsolicited approach of helping other employees insure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains an open line of communication with fellow staff members
  • Works with a “WE” attitude and not a “ME” attitude.
  • Provides assistance to other employees in the execution of their duties.
  • Keeps Management informed of all guest reactions and comments.
  • Good people skills, able to communicate and work well with others.
  • Ability to build and maintain regular clientele (i.e. remembering faces, drinks, likes and dislikes).
  • Well groomed at all times.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform duties outlined above.
  • Valid Food Handler’s permit.
